Yeah, I saw this. People who dismiss Jovi's musical prowess in favour of other more popular mainstream bands are plain daft in my eyes. There is no denying the massive scale of BJs achievements. Especially from the record breaking early days, however, they also managed to survive grunge and boy bands and sell their albums even more than 25 years after the first chords of 'Runaway' sounded across Jersey radio stations all those years ago...

did jon and richie not already have the idea for prayer and actually related to it before desmonds helping hand???????

They got that song messed up, Des already had YGLABN, and even then Jon and Richie worked on that, but Jon and Richie definitely had the idea for Prayer before Des came along.

And how do you know?
