Possible reason for BJ not on BBC Radio 1/2

Don't quote me on this but I think areason for Bon Jovi not getting any airtime on Radio 1/2 is because when Chris Evans was a DJ on Radio 1 he had Jon as a guest (back when Jon released Midnight in Chelsea) and the intention were that Jon would go on as a guest DJ alongside Chris, but the people who sort out work permits classed that as Jon working and told Radio 1 and Chris that Jon being a guest DJ is not allowed (something which Jon was not happy about and I think he may have said something on air about this)

This has got nothing whatsoever to do with it. It was not Radio 1's fault that jon couldn't Dj, it was the employment office's fault because Jon didn't have a work permit to DJ!
Also they played jon's solo songs since then (1997).
It's purely down to Bon jovi not fitting in to what they deem as being 'cool'.
Radio 2 on the other hand are unlikely to play something as rocking as 'Everyday'!

All I ever hear on Radio One is dance or top 10 chart music, all I hear on Radio Two is 'easy listening' stuff. But seen as I don't often listen to the radio I could never be sure. Anyway it's their loss not having any Bon Jovi music.
