Exactly, to me it's a fan's take on what they would do with WWWB if they amped it up Last Man Standing-like from TLFR/Box set to HAND, except I actually like this more than what they did to LMS on HAND along. Get that guitar bit between the first chorus and 2nd verse and you really add a dimension that I wish the band had done as I already felt. It takes a song I consider one of their top best and gives you more. I do wish they kept at it in the studio on these same songs.
When I listen to WWWB I also think of Postcards from the Wasteland....one of the best offerings from the Bounce sessions. It was one songs like that that communicated to me that the Jon I admire was still there. However, I still feel that Post Cards deserved more work.
The best way to look at this is one can always hope that the band would get more adventurous live and start adding stuff like this. Unrealistic perhaps, but would definitely be the way to go to truly have me by the balls. Once upon a time, this band added completely new parts to Blood on Blood and Living In Sin in their live renditions that made the band's live performances to be sought out. They've gotten lazy in that manner in the last decade with most renditions being pretty much straight off the album arrangement, but showed little glimmers. Undivided's intro. Extending LMS standing a bit before Jon started the first verse, the full-stop chorus vocal following the breakdown leading. The latter was developed later on, which is how they did it in the past....
Thorn In My Side apparently has a new section, I haven't seen any clips yet. Love's the Only Rule does....... so it's looking promising this tour.
Of course, I'm not expecting them to re-arrange WWWB like this. That's where these two come in.
