On Bounce yeah, but it just sounds better on Crush than on DA.

First, how can any red-blooded straight male not like the video?

I like the song as well, like others have said I love the funky groove to it, and the way the words just seem to spill out of Jon during the verses. And the really dirty, fuzzy distorted guitars, I'd go as far as to say it leans as far towards grunge as any member of BJ has ever done.

And finally, Jon's voice is not worse on DA than on Crush ... he's trying out something different, and vocals don't need to be high to be good. But even so, how are songs like Janie and Every Word Was A Piece Of My Heart any "worse" than songs on Crush vocally?

I love the song, but I love everything on Destination Anywhere. Brilliant album IMO.

Yeah I agree with you there.
Vocally he couldn't pull of on crush as what he did with songs like Janie, DA, It's Just me.

But my next point.
What is Queen of New Orleans about exactly? I always interpetet as getting a nice woman but finding out it's a man as in a shemale or something. That I got from the 2nd verse, but it's probably something else

I dunno. Save the world was done in 99' wasn't it? I can't imagine Jon hitting the notes then tbh.

I'm not sure though. I don't really listen to bootlegs or anything from DA. Only the album now and then.

Because songs like 'Save The World' & 'One Wild Night' are better vocally imo.

I always saw it being about a drag queen, yah. I thought it was pretty clever writing.

Destination as an album for me is better than Blaze. Queen of New Orleans is one of my fave songs off the album... The video lol!

I was shocked when I first bought DA and listened to QONO. It was later to grow on me and I think it's a good song still, but I remember thinking, wtf? I thought there had been a mix up and I'd got the wrong CD by mistake as the vocals just don't sound like him at all.
