It's not a great piece of writing as the first line is written in the past tense (I.e. something which has already happened), and the second line is written in the present tense (I.e. something that is happening now). Sorry if it sounds like I'm patronising you, it's just I'm not sure how much you understand of the English language. It's a complicated bit of writing. If you were to take that passage to an English teacher they would advice you against writing like that, because it can be confusing, even for us who are well acomplished with English, never mind a Greek who is learning English.
