Absolutely IN LOVE with this record. And I too wish Jon would do something like this again in terms of the seemingly more personal, insightful lyrics and the moody vibe.

Totally lovin' the mood this album has. But I mostly listen to it in the autumn and winter
It's Just Me is a real masterpiece and I really enjoy the lyrics on many songs. Only Ugly never really bothered me...

The last great album from the Jovi camp in my book.

Very different album. Some tremedous lyrics. Never cared too much for Ugly or Little City but don't dislike them either. The rest pisses all over most of the band's recent output.

I remember hearing Jon's interviews at the time and it was like he really wanted to do something artistic. He certainly did that but it seems that because DA and TD bombed commercially in the States that he turned Bon Jovi back into a party act and came back with IML. From there, it's been downhill all the way pretty much.

The single Midnight In Chelsea sucks balls. Its really bad.

So is all the Ooo La La Las in QONO - Ruins a potential good track.

I think the problem is the album has no flow.

Gonna listen to it now and report back.

I like the album. It's no Bon Jovi but it's a good album. It has a vibe. And like it's been said above, it's got Jon's best lyrics on it.

I think the trouble with solo albums is this. You dont want them to sound like the bands albums but in a way you kind of do as it sounds alien coming from a member of a band you love the sound of.

Thats my problem with DA - It sounds like nothing like Jovi (and thats good) but also sounds like something Id never buy if a member of BJ wasnt associated with it.

I cant like this album as it sounds nothing like Jovi - but at the same time Im glad it dont. I think I just find the album boring and like I said before Id never buy it if wasnt a solo album cos the lead single (MIC) I destest.

Its Just Me - would fit perfectly on These Days - but would need slighty better drums. The drums on DA version is a little too soft.

I really like it and MIC is one of my favourites off the album. Did they ever solve the mystery in reagrds to August 7 4:15? I remember seeing it on unsolved mysteries years ago.
