I leave for a while. I come back. And now it seems like a bunch of people who I thouhgt were fans do nothing but bash the band. I love Bounce. I'm listening to it right now. I don't care if they used drum loops. These are great songs. But the people who ***** and moan are always the ones who get heard the most.

thanx Jay...I agree...its always the same people, bitching about how they dont like the new albums..well some do, and i for one feel they're ruining it for those who enjoy the current stuff..whatever.

my top 5 fave bands of all time - are all 80's bands and only U2 are at the top of the Rock Hierarchy!

whereas the LAST U2 album was a classic rock 'n roll masterpiece!

I listened to Nine Lives once. It kinda scared me. Don't know why. Maybe cuz I'm so gosh darn pathetic.

I think BJ is just trying (new) stuff, and with the sales of Bounce not doing so well, the next album might me more 'back to the old stuff'

And the thing I just cant stand is the bitching by all of you that think they know everything about (good) music or what real rock is .....
I guess that's why you are such pathetic boys and not big stars of a rock band ..... I just cant stand it

Me personally I do have moments of complete love for bounce but then again its mainly for the songs that didnt make the album.. the B sides!!! I find some of the songs are almost ripoffs of their own older songs. But I do like bounce and crush they have some great songs and moments.

I think that "these days" was far superior to both of the above mentioned though but thats just my own opinion.

New Jersey will always be a rocknroll classic album for its time and I still LOVE it to this day.

Interesting question. I am not very impressed with the newer rock bands. I like some stuff by Creed, Nickelback, Foo Fighters, Red Hot Chili Peppers for example but so much of the new rock music sounds the same. Rock music is not selling like it did in the US- the charts are dominated by pop, hip hop and country. I think Bounce stands up there with any other rock release this year- at least there is variety from song to song. You can argue Bruce is at the top of his game but he does not appeal to the same age group by and large and he really hasn't changed his sound much (added some Sting like world beats but that is it). Personally Bounce is up there with These Days and New Jersey as my top 3 and I think they are all complete albums that I enjoy listening to every song. Keep the Faith as well. The ones with the biggest hits- Slippery and Crush have their weaker moments around the monster songs that made them big (and big again).

I like Bounce, not very much, but I sometimes hear it, it's not on my top5.
About the new stuff, I think By The Way is great, it reminds me of bj's 90s.
