Wow, the clapping of the audience in the intro is spot on and basically sets in on the second beat! Guess the energy level of the crowd matched the band's

I have a question. Has anybody watched the series Black Sails? The theme music for this show is done by Bear Mccreary, who has done themes for a lot of show and has won many awards. But as I was listening to the theme at the beginning of Black Sails it sounded really familiar to me and finally it came to me. It was a rip off of the acoustic guitar riff from Blaze of Glory, except it is done by some old instrument called a hurdy-gurdy. I looked up the song on Wikipedia and Bear gives no credit to Jon but he instead talks about how he wrote the music himself. Maybe im wrong, maybe Jon is aware of this and doesn't mind but I would like to ask some of you to compare the two songs and let me know what you think.

Haven’t watched the series but just listened to the theme song and I definitely hear the similarity, but if this was something he’d have to give Jon credit for then technically there would also be tons of Bon Jovi songs where they would have to give credit to other artists for certain melody lines or riffs. I guess every songwriter or composer consciously or unconsciously ends up ripping off some other song at some point in their career.
