But if it doesn't do it for me - if it isn't BON JOVI to me, should I really drive from Atlanta to Memphis, then drive from Memphis to St. Louis, then fly from St. Louis to Milwaukee, then ride from Milwaukee back to St. Louis, and then drive from St. Louis back to Atlanta (all in less than 5 days) to see 3 shows that are likely to leave me filled with regret? As I see it, that's what would be stupid or ridiculous. Some of you might have thought doing all that was ridiculous even when the whole band was going to be there, but it was something I was excited to do and was looking forward to. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe when I see the show in Atlanta it won't be as lacking as I think it will be. If that's the case, I'll put gas in the van and head out. But if not and I stay home, I don't think anyone has the right to judge me or tell me that I'm not a "real fan" or not supportive of the rest of the guys or any of the other things I've seen here and elsewhere.

Clearly the decision to go or not is going to be a very personal one and will be different for everyone. I'm not going to tell any of the rest of you what to do, nor am I going to judge you for what you might decide. Please try to have a little respect for the choices that I and other members of this board make, too.

I have friends on the rail in New Orleans today, and I have one friend who went on the trip with her friends but has opted not to go to the show. She has more shows coming up and is going to give it a try, but she wasn't ready to do it today. The choice she made might feel wrong to you, but it's what felt right to her. Could we just give each other a bit of a break?
Well said.

As much as I want them to postpone the shows, I'd never call someone an idiot or a fool for choosing to go to them.

Do what you gotta do.

Maybe I just have a different point of view but I would absolutely still go.

First, It's historic to see a show w/ someone else on guitar. This actually sparks more interest to me. A. Maybe we'll get a change in set B. Let's see how he does...... Bottom line. Permanetly? Absolutely not! A couple shows? Sorry, I think it's cool/different.

Second, 95% of the people aren't going to even know the difference. Even w/out the talk box. Once you're at the show, there is so much other stuff going on. Yea you'll notice it a time or two but it's not going to effect the band or the night.

Third, I think it'll bring some realism into the band. Let them make a few mistakes. It'll get them off auto-pilot. Again, I think it's cool

Fourth, You'll still have a good time. It's a night out. Good times with great music. You can't beat that.

Unless you're just a Richie fan, I think anyone who sells their tickets are out of their minds. Sorry. Just My Opinion
There is no Bon Jovi without Richie or David or Tico
When Jon does his charity gigs it is not called Bon Jovi but a performance by Jon Bon Jovi and Friends

If Richie won't be in Europe I will be in the same situation as your friend. I have to tour because otherwise my friend can't since we planned to drive with my car and share hotel costs and stuff like this. But I don't know if I will go to the shows. Probably not.

Don't base you're judgement from a Youtube clip. Being there and seeing it on Youtube are completly different.

I'm all about Richie too, I just think to not go because of Richie is a bad idea. Esp because they are taking a break and who knows when they will come around again. Jon cares too much about the bands reputation than to not give a 100% show.

I just don't get why someone would rather sit home vs take a chance. You might still have a great time.

Richie is in rehab. It's done. Sitting home crying about it is not going to make him come back. Go and support your band!!!!!!
I'm not gonna sit home and cry about it. I'm gonna take the money and head to the strip club for the evening.
