I keep seeing postpone the shows until Richie is better....... postpone them until when??? It's a pretty safe bet Jon and David both have made commitments after July, the crew is only under contract until July 31 and most have probably already booked in for other tours, shows etc and are the venues even available??
And in all honesty, should all the other people in the band rearrange their whole lives for the next months in order to accomodate Richie's addiction?? That kind of seems like enabling it to me.

I think this whole thing is difficult for everyone, including and maybe especially the band. I don't think there were any good choices to be made here, just different degrees of bad ones. I think Jon made the one he felt was best for the most, knowing and understanding that there were going to be some very disappointed and some even angry at him for the decision. BJ have never been ones to cancel anything unless there just wasn't an option, and it seems they aren't going to start now.
