If you think about huge bands with very prominent frontmen, the guitarist is maybe a bit better known than someone in a moderately well known band but they're still not exactly household names.

Add the fact that the band is called Bon Jovi and you get the situation where a lot of people are totally unaware that there is anyone in the band except for Jon.
