Undivided
I strongly connect this one to a hard time when my father was really ill and the lines "enough, enough, the time has come to rise back up" pushed me on and on.

Have A Nice Day
Was the first single I experienced as a real fan and it gave me so much excitement. I still hope that some release of them might recreate that feeling someday.

Make A Memory
The last honest and great ballad the band did. Not in the style of their old power ballds, but it feels sincere to me. Something that many post-2000 songs lacked.

Love's The Only Rule
Simple message, always put a smile on my face. Witnessing some tremendous live performances (Mannheim, Cologne) manifested this as one of my favourites. Don't listen to it that often, but I appreciate it a lot.

A Teardrop To The Sea
One of a few times where the rather unspecific lyrics helped to make a song "one's own". Came out shortly after my grandfather, whom I've had a very strong connection to, had died last year and it just fitted.

Other songs worth mentioning would've been: Not Running Anymore, I Want To Be Loved, Two Story Town, When We Were Beautiful and Superman Tonight.

Tough one!

Next 100 Years
I think it's a pretty underrated song. It starts unspectacular but developes great with an awesome guitar solo at the end. With only a few exceptions this was the last real great guitar solo on an album.

You Had Me From Hello
Beautiful storyteller. And great (acoustic) guitar work from Richie.

Last Man Standing
Great rocker and a great opener for live shows.

Novocaine
Great song full of melancholy and anger. When they played it live 2006 after it got public that Heather filed for divorce I think it even meant more to the band and everytime Richie played the solo it sounded so sad to me like he put all his heart and soul in it.

Love's The Only Rule
Truly gem I have some very personal memories with.

Some other candidates were Bounce, Whole Lot Of Leavin', Superman Tonight, Bullet, I'm With You and Fingerprints.

1. The Distance
A track sandwiched between the romantic leanings of the band and the hard rock edge. Definitely Bon Jovi.

2. Next 100 Years
It's my standout track off Crush: poppy in nature but goes out rousing towards the end.

3. Fingerprints
Personally, I see it as their best song in 20 years with a tinge of a couple of These Days tracks in it.

4. Room at the End of the World
It's quite known here that this is among my favorite BJ songs. It's also pretty atmospheric which fits in with the otherwise shitty production of WAN.

5. Teardrop
Another atmospheric 2010s song, this time it relied to melancholy and they quite pulled it off.

1. (You Want to) Make A Memory
2. Running
3. Right Side of Wrong
4. Last Man Standing
5. When We Were Beautiful

I feel like their rockers have been progressively more and more generic since Crush, but their ballads have never stopped pushing all the right buttons. There's a couple of exceptions (like the ones on the Circle), but if there's one thing Bon Jovi is still great at, it's writing a heart-wrenching ballad.

Good idea! Just a short suggestion that perhaps it should be 12 songs that make the 'final cut' instead of 10, because most of Bon Jovi albums actually have 12 in standard versions - seems to be Jon's standard. Anyway, here's my list, in chronological order:

- It's My Life - a song that doesn't get enough love due consequences from its success. Nonetheless, it's an absolute smash for a reason.

- Open All Night - any list (or imaginary album) of Bon Jovi we compile should include a ballad. And to me it's their best since These Days. It met some competition (Strangers, Thank You and a couple of others) but to me it shows the most passion and a great hook in the chorus. I wish we saw more of this in later albums instead of Cohen-inspired non-sense of the last few 'ballads'

- Who Says You Can't Go Home - again, it's a hit for a reason; just a great song and I'd chose a country version, but both are good

- The Last Night - perfectly represents the LH album - simple yet effective lyrics with simple yet passionate chorus. Just a great post 2000 song and I wish we saw more of this type of songwriting

- What's Left Of Me - it's a sequel to one of my favorite Jovi songs (Saturday Night), so it has to be here.
