No pressure! Was just checking in. I know what it's like when life gets in the way. Happens all the time when I host the Track Rankings.

Looking forward to the results, whenever you get round to it.

Agree very much that unfortunately post 1999 there s been a certain mutation to the jovi sound, meant to appeal to new crowds, but generally making it plastic. So a separate poll has a point.

1) Whole lot of leavin'
2) Wildflower
3) (You wanna) Make A Memory
4) Everybody's Broken
5) Everyday

I especially like the acoustic version of Everyday. It kicks ass!

I realized Any Other Day is a big song just months ago, I think through this forum. I had discarded it initially. My bad. I give it an honorable mention. Along with Brokenpromiseland.

I wrote a bit more as this is my first post. Thanx.

Only five, well...

It's My Life - I heard it last weekend in a club and it sounded almost as fresh as when it was new. Nice experience and the reason it had to be on the list.

I Am - My only constant favorite off HAND.

Lonely - Only a bonus track but just great.

Love's the only rule - My only constant favorite off TC.

Wildflower - Beating Any Other Day, Just Older, Everday and a couple of other songs.

Okay so let's wrap this up!

Thanks to all who voted, could have wished for more participators but for those who did it has been a joy to read about your stories regarding your favorite post-2000 songs. It's quite amazing how certain songs can attract people in so many and different ways.

All in all, we agreed about the top spots and the top-5 songs were quite superior winners.

The thing is that there was a great variety of choices and 56 different songs were picked. 26 songs of those song were picked only once, while the most number of votes for a single song was 12.

Below is the result.

#1 - HAVE A NICE DAY (12 votes)

Not a very suprising winner. Even though it only won by a single point, it was never threatened in the top.

#2 & 3 - IT'S MY LIFE & UNDIVIDED (11 votes)

It's My Life and Undivided tied with each getting 11 votes. Many described It's My Life as still sounding fresh 16 years after its release and Undivided was more than once referred to Bon Jovis last real hard rock song.

#4, 5 & 6 - Any Other Day, Love's the Only Rule & Make a Memory (9 votes)

Three songs tied on 9 points, two of them from the Lost Highway-album. Any Other Day was praised for its lyrics and similar to Love's the Only Rule it was referred as one of the greater post-2000 live numbers.
Make a Memory however, took on the title as the strongest post-2000 ballad.

#7 & 8 - A Teardrop To the Sea & Whole Lot of Leavin' - (8 points)

#9 - Last Man Standing - (6 points)

#10 & 11 - That's What the Water Made Me & Two Story Town - (5 points)

So in a context we have
1 - Have a Nice Day
2 - Undivided
- It's My Life
3 - Any Other Day
- Love's the Only Rule
- (You Want To) Make a Memory
4 - A Teardrop To the Sea
- Whole Lot of Leavin'
5 - Last Man Standing
6 - That's What the Water Made Me
- Two Story Town

No real shockers, it feels like the community is quite agreed on which songs are the gems of the 2000s. Thanks to all who voted

I made a Spotify list of the songs and put together a nice track list that you can enjoy rocking out to some of Bon Jovis finest moments. https://open.spotify.com/user/theeld...t6dgP8YBMOcqbT

The top 3 songs all use the same chord progression in the chorus.

Yeah...

Also, after all the bitching about the band putting out 'IML-clones' by many people (not me), we have IML and two of its 'clones' as the top 3 tracks

Good work DryCounty!

Good work DryCounty!
I don't know if I'd call Undivided an IML Clone... Nor am I surprised that IML was a top 3 but HAND is the biggest surprise... I didn't realize that song was such a big hit (no pun intended) around here....

Arrow Bon Jovi in the Postmodern Era

About a month ago I created this mix and after seeing this thread I decided to finally upload it, and put a link to it here.

I will put it as well at the youtube thread, but I thought to put it here as well, because it is relevant.

It is a 1h mix of post 2000 Bon Jovi, with the following features:

1) I didn't put the standard songs
2) I actually cut out many parts which sounded over-repeating or boring
3) I mixed them to follow one another in a continuous mode
4) The emphasis is on groovy fun stuff.

I would love to read comments from you true bj fans. Also I suppose it would be better if you didn't scroll to read the songlist, because it is nice to be "surprised" at the order and what is actually in there.

Thanx.

Pretty happy with those results. HAND is my favourite post-2000 song.

I don't think Two Story Town should be rated that highly though. Im happy with the rest. We Don't Run and Superman Tonight would've been good up there but oh well.

Thanks for your effort with this DryCounty!
