I mean in Sydney alone in 2006, they held 3 sold out concerts with each concert holding more than 80,000 people.

Dont get me wrong here, im not sayin BJ are not good, because i think BJ's live shows are as good and even better than U2's live shows, but the fact is that U2 are getting better with time, but i dont think its the same with BJ unfortunately.

U2 are going downhill also there is no doubt about that IMHO. The last time they were innovative was with the "Pop" record. Saw them at "zoo TV " and "Pop" and "Vertigo" Tours. And the last one was surely the weakest by far. Only a greatest hits show. Bonos voice was shot and his preaching is getting annoying. Sure they are not as crap as BJ are right now but if you compare genius records like "Joshua Tree" and especially "Achtung Baby" with "All that you can leave behind" or "Bomb...." there is no comparison. "Bomb" is still a good album though - you don't write too many classics. BJ last really great album was "TD" - "HAND " was a fine return to form. I really cannot believe how they can put out junk like LH.

Last few albums have made me less of a fan. I still love them but mostly cause of their older stuff. But back in the day I built what is arguably one of the larger BJ collections around. I used to buy everything and anything related to their albums, I even did that with Crush, even though I thought it was a crappy record, and to some extent with Bounce, cause I own most of the singles off Bounce. But right now, I no longer look for bootlegs, I no longer buy Japanese, UK, Australian and whatever editions and I don't buy all the singles in existence. I don't buy new shirts, no Vinyl versions... I just lost interest in them as they have lost interest in their hardcore fans.
Very well said! Same here! And in some ways it makes me really sad doesnt it?????

Same here, the first album i heard was crush because my brother (who many of you know haha) had just got it and i started listening to them and then i started looking at his books and started listening to more music and thats why im such a big fan now. Judging on the LH album, yeah i think i would be a fan. I really like this album tbh, its something different, there are some powerful songs too

If LH was the first album I heard I would be a fan... as I really like SEAT, MAM , LH and AOD.

Yes, but I've always liked pop-rock-country stuff.

As an aside, I used to work at a country radio station and hands-down the worst part of the job was the near-constant barrage of calls about "this crap isn't country" "real country is ______" "why do you play this crap and not REAL country?".

For the love of ****, it's subjective, and if it's that ****ing important to you that your taste = everyone's taste you're going to live a sad life getting pissed off over everything.

is the question- if LH wasthe first bon jovi stuff i heard?
or- if LH was their first record and all the other albums had not been made?

because Bounce was the first Jovi album i had, and that is not exactly the best album ever

but if LH was their only album so far then no i wouldn't.

Considering I didn't even bother GETTING that album at all, the answer is a definite and rock-solid "NO"! Actually, I'd probably think that they sucked. Which may very well be true, seeing how they butcher some of the classics live now as well.

Hmm.... and here I was thinking the other day that when I saw them in Jersey, the classics were sounding better than they had in a few tours. Jon is in very good voice, the band seems to be reenergized playing these songs ..... I didn't see any butchering going on. Of course that might have been because I actually went and saw the shows live and not because I was sitting at home in my room watching bad youtube recordings and dodgy bootlegs, and then making judgements about something I haven't even seen.

Will you stop making sense.
It's really cramping all the pointless bitching.

It needs more than one album to make me a fan. So I can clearly say, no. I still would like the album but I wouldn#t call myself a fan. Fandom to me is something that develops in a longer period and I need to know more about a band/singer than just one album to make me a fan.
