^ And believe me I used to watch MTV everyday all day long just to see BJ videos. And to see Adam Curry, "the JBJ wanna be" VJ who I was in love with at age 11

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Now now now Javier, we don't want Iceman to come and trash the thread.

KTF is their best work, much better than TD and NJ.

Keep The Faith is definitely one of their best albums and comes second behind These Days in my favorites. The only songs that I don't really like are Women In Love and Little Bit Of Soul, didn't like them when I first heard them and they haven't grown on me. But my favorites are I Believe, Dry County, I Want You and Blame It On The Love Of Rock N' Roll.

Well out on these streets
They're waiting for blind eyes to see
They're waiting for our cuts to bleed
Out here they're waiting for you and me
Well alright, alright
'Cause this time you know I ain't afraid to fight
For you I ain't afraid to die
As long as you are by my side it will be alright
When all faith is gone, I will pray for you
Just keep holding on, I'll be there for you

Hey, I remember Adam Curry but from a European (?) satellite channel in the late 80s! He had this show called Countdown, which had Bon Jovi as guest acts a couple of times, being interviewed and then performing songs from SWW and NJ in -yikes- playback mode if my memory serves! No matter, I LOVED those performances, but never were able to tape them due to not having a VCR at home at the time *sigh*

I seem to remember that Mr. Curry did indeed move to the US after this show was shut down...

Anyway, KTF was the topic of the thread so let me share my thoughts on this record, too. By the time it was released in 1992, I had become rather estranged from the band (due to them becoming estranged from each other *sniff*) and did not really pay too much attention to this new album. I heard and saw the videos for the hits on MTV, of course, but I never went and bought the album -I just didn't buy music in general in those days as I didn't like the whole CD invasion and stubbornly refused to update my old record player into a cd-player. Anyway... I got KTF pretty much exactly three years ago, when I was going through some kind of nostalgia phase and had started to rediscover some of the music I used to be so keen on when I was younger (~80s hard rock mainly) I had never heard such gems like Dry County and If I Was Your Mother previously (yup, can't remember ever seeing the video for DC on MTV...) so it was a great surprise to hear them for the first time.

All in all, I do prefer NJ and These Days to KTF because I find them to be much more cohesive records, but KTF, even with a weaker so called "B-side" is still worth a spin every now and again.

Highjack.. yup Adam grew up in the Netherlands (I think) and he did host a lot of European shows before coming to MTV. He also used to do radio shows like Adam Curry's Top 30 Hitlist but that was years later. I think he joined MTV in the US Halloween night in 1986 after the last of the original veejays left. I just loved him~ I thought he was sooooo hot and that is why I know all of this useless info about him. I called him a JBJ wanna be because he literally had the exact same haricut as Jon back in the 80's. And then after Jon cut his hair for KTF (see I am bringing the topic back LOL) Adam Curry cut his hair too, again in a very, very, very similar style to Jon's. I think he even admitted once on the air that Jon was his hair role model or something to that effect
