I can't see him making any sort of straight our statement about why he was in rehab, but I reckon over time it will come out in interviews. That seems to be the case with most things.

How long does it take to get over an addiction to pies? A week is surely long enough! I take the point about his health being more important than playing a Bon Jovi show but if I went to a show and showed up to find Bobby Bandiera or whatever his name is playing instead I would walk straight back out and demand a refund. Who the hell wants to watch some lameass backing guitarist murdering Richies guitar parts in place of a bonafide rock god. I'd stop buying Bon Jovi albums or going to shows the moment Richie left the band (Or was fired AJS style!)

That he was given the "all-clear" from UCLA from another rept, but more than likely Richie couldn't handle another day there. Maybe he had been on a binge of some sort that he hadn't slept for days, thus MTV Unplgd messup. Why haven't we really heard from anyone legit that was actually at the unplgd concert that could give us better insight? This nasty rumor of him being blitzed came from blogahrea perez. And if there was anything "blitzy" going on, MTV will edit out. I doubt we'll ever know the truth, they'll give us their sweet/short spin.

Am in total agreement. BJovi without Richie is unacceptable. I watched youtube from Puerto Rico, that was outright pitiful. That Jon showed up on Lottery Wed performance with a stubble, hadn't shaved for days & sunglasses. Taking its toll? That he explained stubble was for a movie role (I thought he wasn't doing any movies anymore?).

Well, they wanted to make a memory.....
