Outrageous....we are no longer friends!

Seriously though I did wonder if the FB Girls similarity was one of the reasons it got left off.

I listened to the bonus tracks you guys kept championing. Lonely was the one I felt was the most impressive, but it's melodically similar to both TWASA and to WLOL (more lyrically I guess); so I guess that's why it was left off.

Didn't Jon say that he went to London for the final mixing of Lost Highway, realized that the album needed some more songwriting and returned with 3 or 4 new songs? I wonder if those three bonus tracks were on the original album or if the ones they swapped out have completely disappeared..

I worked for Universal when this came out and I got it two weeks early and what I thought then is what I think now and thats after Any Other Day the album drops off a cliff for me.

I really like the bonus tracks - Put the Boy and walk like a man as they really do sound country and end the album well after a massive lull.

I dont like the way JBJ sings the word Broken on Everybodys broken...Brokeeeeeeeeeeen - ruins a decent song.

I liked the fact they tried something different, Im all for bands who have been together a long time and have a big catalogue trying that (but never something like TLFR!!)

The trouble with the album is that JBJ loved it and a lot of songs have been played to death live over a decade.

He thinks that Lost Highway and Whole Lot of leavin combo works well live and it never has. It kills the energy.

WGIGO - Strangely I dont mind that song - again, something different - but does it deserve to be in every live show until recently? No.

Till we aint strangers is just yuk.

I love Make A Memory and Id say its their best ballad since Always.

A 6.5/10 for me.

Funny, for me Till We Ain't Strangers Anymore is one of the best songs ever written (but so is Thick As Thieves, so ...) With it's interesting structure (two different choruses separated by a solo, etc.), beautiful harmonies, great lyrics and production, it's just a masterpiece. Period Same goes for The Last Night. Overall, I regard LH as one of their best albums. The song I like the least is probably the title track...

My interest in Bon Jovi lies in phases.

I never cared for their music during the eighties, only knew of them in passing. Beginning of the 90’s a friend gave me a copy of Blaze of Glory and that was it for me. I started following everything Jon or the Band did during the 90’s together with their solo outputs.

I bought Crush when it first came out and was so underwhelmed that I stopped following them until Lost Highway.

I love this album and it reawakened my love for the band. Somehow it’s songwriting spoke to me and it sounded so fresh and clear and different from their previous few albums. I cannot pinpoint one particular song that is my favourite, and this is one of the few albums where I never skip any song when listening to it.

The following albums demonstrated regress in my opinion compared to this album. I couldn’t care less about The Circle and What About Now. I rank THINFS just above them.

Pardon? It's a regular pop/rock song structure.

Wouldn't call TWASA a standard structure.

VERSE - VERSE - CHORUS - SOLO - CHORUS (different lyrics) - VERSE/BRIDGE - OUTRO

Tell me one other BJ song with this structure and I'll believe you

Yeah I've always thought it was kind of neat it didn't follow the traditional formula.

I love Lost Highway. It's actually my favourite post 2000 album. Took me a while to warm up to it though.

Whole Lot of Leaving is in my top 5 Jovi songs of all time (it's just so beautiful).

Make a Memory, Any Other Day and The Last Night are all strong songs as well IMO. And I really enjoy WGIGO (you can't deny that funky bass riff).

The only track I don't really care for is Everybody's Broken, and to a lesser extent One Step Closer. I use to really like I Love This Town and Seat Next To You, but they have lost their appeal over the years, though I can still enjoy them on occasion.

I love all three bonus tracks, though I think Lonely is the superior of the three. What a beautiful song that one is.
