What do you want to be that six months from now (if Richie and Denise are still together), the press is releasing a different statement every week. They're engaged. They're breaking up. They're getting married in Figi. They moved the wedding to New Jersey. They're pregnant. They're not pregant. Denise wants Richie to go to rehab. The band are warning Richie that Denise is no good for him. Blah, blah, blah.

AMEN to that!
To me, parents always have their childrens best interests at heart. And Richie wouldn't do it if he thought it was going to hurt his daughter. Parents rarely intentionally do things that will hurt their child.
Anyway, what about what Heather did? She filed for divorce without actually telling Richie then went out with David Spade. So, how would that affect their daughter? There is no need to put all the blame on Richie for this.
In addition - the daughter is how old? 13? I think she is old enough to understand relationships. Richie, Denise and Heather are adults. So it's up to them and not any of our places to say exactly what they should and should not do. It's THEIR Life!

The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Both of them are pregnant or just Denise? Because if Richie was pregnant, that could actually be news-worthy.

I agree, though...the press will find some sort of story to tell about them no matter what, just like they've done with every other big-name romance. When will these celebrities learn that once they are famous then every aspect of their personal lives is open to public discussion and scrutiny?

Thank you. I wasn't totally certain. I thought she was older than that. Lordy, I'm 9 years older than her. I feel old now.
Anyway, by todays standards, 8 is still old enough to understand relationships. In fact, I know one 8 year old that knows more about men than I do! 8 year olds understand a lot more than they used to. I think she understands what's going on. I mean, the girl isn't stupid. And I like to think that Richie has explained the whole thing to her.
Ok, as I said - it's their lives. Up to them what they do with them.

Stephanie is the oldest of their kids and she just turned 13. Hmmm... I wonder how Jon's coping with the trauma of having a teenage daughter. LOL

what are you smoking? An 8 year old is and should be allowed to be a kid and kid only without having to spend much though on adult relationships. Children do not understand relationships - nor should they - nor could they - heck, most adults don't understand them...

If that is true, then that is very very sad.

I used to think that the both of them were very 'together' parents and had the daughters best interest at heart first and foremost. Unfortunately, Richie at least has proven very poor judgment in that respect.

I read an interview with him somewhere and Jon said that he would give $50 to any boy who could manage an entire date with his daughter *or words to that effect*. He said something about how she was exactly like Dorothea and would eat the boy alive.

I wish that was true, that parents always have their children's best at heart. Unfortunately, that's very often not the case - it being intentionally or not. Most of the times, parents just don't think things through and just act on their own behalf.

Look, my parents are divorced. They divorced when I was 6. By then I understood at least a fair bit about what adult relationships are about. I had to. Most kids today have to put up with parents arguing and they learn to understand. And you have to consider the social things childen put up with. Alright, she lives in America, not England. But they grow up far quicker over there.
And how could she be treated like a kid? Her mother's an actress, her fathers a rock star. She's had to grow up fast. My mother runs a hotel and my father works with aeroplanes so I like to think I understand a little about them travelling.
And I do know an 8 year old who knows more about relationships than I do. She's my sister.
As for thinking that Richie has proven poor judgement - that's your opinion. And as for what I'm smoking - menthols. I'm trying to quit.
