I have no problem at all with Richie saying he will be back and how it will be different. We all want a change anyway. Not saying that it will be good but we do need a change, regardless.

The problem I do have is the constant lying and how up himself he has become. Jon can be the same, not denying that and I'm certainly not doing the whole 'Team Jon' crap, but he can say it. Richie seems to think he is some sort of Mr Big Time at the moment when quite frankly, that is not the case. His stories on how songs were wrote and how he wrote them and all that crap does make me laugh. That 'Stranger In This Town' one he done is the best with the tramp etc.. when as proven, that was already done for 'Hey God.'

BUT, I do want a change and Richie is correct in saying that. Hopefully it does happen.

In an interview printed in a German magazine Richie was asked if he thinks there will be any more future Jovi stuff with Jon and him together, to which he replied: "I don't think so..."
He furthermore expressed his unhappiness with the music by saying (I paraphrase from what I remember) "how can you develop musically if your boss gives you 4 bars to push a song and that's the limit?" and "I was involved in all of the writing and production stuff as well and how much guitar stuff ended on the records? How many solos do you hear?!"

Yep, saw this interview translated by someone on Backstage. It's from and interview that was included in this magazine and I believe it came out yesterday. I don't know when Richie gave the interview but assuming it was done last month.

I know you are paraphrasing, but in the space of two sentences Richie has contradicted himself.

He was given 4 bars to push a song

He was involved in all the writing and production.

Why couldn't he write more solos or "guitar stuff" then?

I mean I see both sides. Jon wanted smaller "musical interludes" in the songs but I just don't get why he couldn't do more with the 4 bars to make up for it. For songs like, say, Bounce or Because we can he repeats the same notes twice when he can just as easily deviate from the first. Does that make sense? It feels like he repeats himself and gets repetitive but complains he doesn't have enough space for solos. Some songs, I agree. Happy Now and Thank you for loving me have weirdly small solo spaces and I wish they'd extend things more.

Maybe because the work process that dictates Jon is uninspiring, surely many solos are left out, discarded, remember, only one boss, Jon's decision.

Tico not bother to go to the studio.

Jon has caused this shit with John Shanks (the sixth Bon Jovi).

But will return, together again.

It seems Richie isn't capable of giving an interview without making digs at Jon and the band. Apparently he's going to be bitter for a long time so figures why not burn some bridges in the process.

Here is a translated link.
