Man, this interview is just sad to read...

I hate how he says "****ing Bon Jovi" too. I just think if he has nothing good to say about the band he was in for 30 years, he just shouldn't say anything about the band at all.

Sad stuff. I've now lost all hope for him to return. Even if he were to return, what would it even be like? Is there any coming back from this between him and the band?

Nah I don't think there's any coming back from this when it comes to the effect it's gonna have on their partnership. But yes, they'll tour again because of $$$$$ and because it will be a chance for Richie to appear all high and mighty and he won't resist the urge to say "Now it sounds like a band again because I'm here" type of comments he will inevitably give any chance he gets. To me Richie seems like the type of insecure boy in school who would say anything to get the attention and praise he thinks he deserves. He should just earn that by playing his songs, god knows he has the talent why he feels the need to spout off shit like this is beyond me....

I've been seeing some postings about some banner Richie had at a show that was seen as a dig on Jon and the band. Can anyone tell me what this is about? I can't find it anywhere

My predictions: When the Richie-Ori project fails commercially, their relationship and so-called 'chemistry' will fall apart. This will leave Richie stranded and he'll come crawling back to Jon.

This cartoon was made before launching the album "What About Now".

We all knew what Richie said in this interview. If finally Jon makes a new album of Bon Jovi without Richie ... then we'll have Jon, David and Tico as new official image of Bon Jovi. Sad.

Hopefully the next album of JBJ ( if he dares to release another solo album) become in a big success and mass phenomenon. At least the BJ brand would rest for one time.

Safe for the token heavy number, Richie's solo work (last two albums, actually) isn't too rooted in the realm of heavy guitars and riffs either.

this interview is sad and embarassing...i wonder when it took place? he answers the same questions differently and contradicts himself...maybe he talked with jon recently and they had a fight???who knows?
richie has said the bj were limitating him since new jersey, the truth is richie needs someone to guide him, his solo work is a proof...richie always was my favorite bj member but these last years he looks so washed up and lightheaded...
jon made some mistakes but stop talking about the issue at last...while richie...****ing bj???wtf? you were a crusial member of the band for 30 years and now you try to belittle them?sad...and the chemistry comment...what is he thinking???bj back then were killing it and he compares that duo, richie and jon with orianthi??? i m lost of words...sad, i hope richie comes back and all but the guy is obvious deeply hurt and immature...
i dont think richie hates jon, he probably loves him but i lose more and more the respact i had for the guy..

Richie was asked if he will be back in the band and said he didn't think so. Perhaps that is not his will but he has been told by Jon that he won't be back?

What followed was the typical embarrasing contradticions, but I have no problem with him saying he will not be back, whether it is his desicion of someone else's.

It does bother me the nonsense he talks though. Deeply involved with every facet of the band for 30 years and needed a rest one minute, not given enough space within the band the next.

Wanted more guitars and more musical depth (we all want that) but only releases the minimally improved Aftermath.

Was a core component of the Bon Jovi machine (which of course is true) but now thinks the whole band was uncool.

Wants to play more solos but hasn't created a memorable solo in years (Seven Years is vastly overated as a guitar song by some fans). I mean seriously, what was the last truly kick ass Sambora solo... Pre 2000 almost every song had one, this century I cannot even think of 10 at a stretch. Whatever he or Rolo says, he is the guitarist not Jon, he could have created something better in four bars. My feeling is, if he had devliered something truly special from a guitar perspective it would be in. Perhaps the Bon Jovi songs have been limited guitar wise because Richie cannot create anything good?

And why does he persist with talking crap about himself as a solo artist. 20 minute songs? When? He talks about jamming as if he invented it but his jamming is cringeworthy sometimes. I got the chemistry between him and Jon, I get it between Tyler and Perry, Jagger and Richards and whoever else. I do not see him and Orianthi bursting with chemistry, so his thoughts must be in the bedroom. From what I have seen she always looks like she is fulfilling a duty on stage, which is great as its her job. She doesn't always look like she loves being there or playing some of those songs.

Typical of this band, there is no one on hand to give him a real interview where hard questions are asked. I have a feeling Jon may have sacked him.

But Jon said he didn't.
