Richie is being investigated by the police

Dear lord, this place has devolved into a hellhole of sorts. Yeah, it's downtime for the band/its members, but this one-sided bickering is just shameless. Shitty as it may be, yeah, the biggest news from this band and its members does happen to still be the Richie saga, so naturally, it will be discussed.

This board has ALWAYS speculated things to death. That's what fans of a group on a message board do. It's standard protocol.

If we really wanted some sort of action on the board again, how about starting some more official ranking threads or some sort of game to have fun and discuss some of the back catalog? Just brainstorming.

Well, I've been trying to start some sort of lyric quiz in the games section for a year now. But either no one scrolls down to that or simply no one cares anymore.

I've tried to discuss music and the back catalog myself too but nobody was interested. I got a couple of posts and then nothing. It's the same for every thread trying to tackle the current or future works of each member. I guess most Jovitalkers are simply not interested in discussing anymore. I registered here some time ago because the non-English Jovi pages I used to enjoy ended with the end of the last tour and this board seemed to be still alive. But maybe not so much...

I'm all for any discussion about music and the back catalog. But sometimes when it gets really technical about past shows and dates and setlists I tend to not participate in that a lot because my knowledge about the past tours is so limited. But I do enjoy reading about it and finding lost treasures that I never knew existed....

One of the reasons I joined this board (way back in the dark ages) was to discover unknown treasures. And even to this day people recommend stuff that I wonder why I never heard about. There was no internet in the late 80s and early to mid 90s and the only info we got about many of the tours is what they wanted us to know. We didn't even know that different bonus tracks were released in different countries - at least not here in the US.

I used to be on mailing lists for Led Zeppelin bootlegs (still am actually but now the list comes in email). That was the only way we heard about stuff. This board opened up a whole new horizon for me in 2002. It may have become somewhat outdated since much of the info is available elsewhere but it is still a place to come together and talk about bootlegs and tours.

Yeah. This forum was always good for a nice mix of general interest, humour, nerdiness (sp) and the downright creepy but now it's devolved into just plain weird. Yes, I'm pointing at you Old Joysey.
