"12 new songs exclusive to the album" ? That's a lie.

But I think it's an interesting performance. People are always blaming Jon for going country. But it's Richie who collaborates with an country artist once again.

That's a verse... 7 lines

Richie's been talking about duetting with country artists since before HAND was released. I dunno why everyone's always so quick to blame Jon

Probably because Jon runs the band and Richie doesn't.

Multiple reasons for that IMO..firstly where Richie seemed to be genuinely interested in a little bit of an experiment outside of the band and the opportunity to work with other writers without financial pressure, Jon seems to have had a rather calculated vision of what would make money for the band and went where he thought he could achieve that. To me at least it felt like a cynical ploy once he saw that there was potential for crossover (which in all reality there wasn't). Jon appeared to jump a bandwagon, whereas Richie had been interested for years but was waiting for an opportunity to quietly go to Nashville and do some writing.
