Default No way

I think they'd have to dissolve the band. No way Bon Jovi the band could go on without Richie. It wouldn't be the same without him -- and really, what guitarist could possibly play pop-metal-rock as well as Mr. Sambora does? The rest of the guys in the band would probably just have to continue on with their solo careers...!

What a depressing thought!

The band would have to break up. It's not about who could play richies parts. there are a million people out there who could play anyones part in any band. Hell my brothers one of them. It's a maatter of chemistry and song writting. It's one thing to be able to play anything it's another to come up with it. with out richie it's just jon's solo project.

You are absolutely right. Richie and Jon i.e. their co-operation is the heart of BJ. With another guitar player it could never be the same.

Jon and Richie are too perfect together, as well as the rest of the band. Also, I don't think there is anyone on this planet who can play to Richie's standards. He's so lengthy... There's Dry County, Born To Be My Baby, Always... No one has range like Richie Sambora.

Same with Jon's voice.. You don't see Celine Dion singing one of her ballads, then going to something like Everyday.. While Jon can! (Thanks Becky! )

Replace Richie?? It would need to be Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Joe Satriani, Stevie Van Zandt, Nels Lofgren and loads more....no one man can replace The King of Swing!

There's a magic in Bon Jovi that is very much related to the chemistry between Jon and Richie. Their friendship, partnership, and talents are at the heart of the band.
