And I'm starting to seriously think Jon is deliberately trying to prevent Richie from releasing a solo album...

i've heard better interviews but refreshing to get news on the new record nonetheless. he always comes across as such a cool guy.

Come on, Richie's albums are great - but they never have been and never will be a commercial success. Which fans haven't liked Richie's solo stuff? But that's it - it's only the fans.

It's clearly band time - and I don't blame them, and I'm glad for it. I will always prefer a Bon Jovi album over a solo effort by either Jon or Richie.
