Weird, given how Tommy gave BJ quite a bit of crap (most recent example I can remember is on RockStar Supernova, where he said "you made a BJ song sound ballsy" or whatever). But hey, maybe him and Richie have more in common than Bon Jovi the band... okay, okay, I'll stop.

Tommy's a GREAT drummer, so Richie doing a SOLO record (Forever All the Way was by FAR my fav. on the RSO record) and having him onboard is great news; as well as Bob Rock still being in the mix.

Oh, I'm glad someone else has commented on this song. Such a great ballad! Definitely the best thing to come out of RSO for me, after living with it all for a while.

I'm actually very optimistic about this album. Working with Tommy is a great sign of the direction (Although I expect it's only one track) and Richie seems more focused on this album than any of the RSO stuff. He seems to be spending his time in the studio, rather than breaking it up with tours and holidays all the time, like the RSO project....

Tommy Lee is releasing a new solo album soon. Are we sure this is for Richie's and not his?

The style sounds more like Richie than him and the guide vocal....to me sounds like Richie. Could be wrong though.

I wondered about that, too. It's confusing; and I spent some time Googling trying to find out for sure, without much luck. On Tommy's IG, people seem to think it's his album; and on the Richie sites, they think it's Richie's. The only thing I could find was in the podcast Tommy did with his new wife. He said his album is gonna drop the end of April or the first of May.

I wouldn't think he would still be recording new material if it's scheduled to be released in 3 or 4 weeks, would he? (But then again, he also said he hasn't decided on a name for the album, either. So who knows...)

I'm with the Captain, though. I'm pretty sure that's Richie singing. And as much of a Hendrix fan as Richie is, the lyric, "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" makes me willing to bet it's a Richie song.

But that's all I got; and I've been wrong before, too.

It definitely Richie singing, but I suppose Tommy could be doing an album that features guest vocalists? I think it's more likely to be Tommy playing on Richie's album, especially with Bob there. I know Tommy has worked with Bob in the past too, but he's been spending much more time with Richie recently...

Yes, of course it's Richie's vocals. The question is if Tommy is playing on Richie's album or if Richie is singing on Tommy's album.

The video clip was definitely filmed in Tommy's home studio.

Well, the aforementioned podcast did say Tommy's album would have a lot of guests:

Quote:
...[Tommy] hasn’t decided what the name is yet, he’s close to deciding the album name. This album is going to blow your mind. It has amazing artists on it, people that you’ve heard of, people that you haven’t heard of.

And Tommy and Nikki Sixx were together in the studio with Bob Rock last August:

Quote:
Yesterday (August 28 ), a photo appeared on the band’s official Facebook page of Lee and Sixx in the studio with producer Bob Rock...

No images of singer Vince Neil and guitarist Mick Mars in the studio have been shared at present, putting doubts over their involvement. It has been suggested that, while Lee and Sixx are clearly working on something together, it may just be tracks for The Dirt, Netflix‘s upcoming biopic about the band.

What are the odds that they might have been working something for Tommy's album?

Hmm yes, seeing all that does seem to point that it will be Richie guesting on Tommy's album, along with the fact that they were in Tommy's studio...shame...
