1. I remember when the album first came out. Searching ‘RSO’ on Spottyfly returned zero results..

2. The album is ‘meh’ at best. Haven’t listened to it since it came out, and have no desire to.

3. Origami looks really ill in that photo above.

As I have said, I don't agree with the Beyonce comparison, but let's run with it as your statement above suggests it is actually an apt comparison. Not least because Richie is an established artist who has already sold millions of records, just like Beyonce.

Discussing cross-over fan appeal is pointless. I could just as easily say every Bon Jovi fan knew about RSO but ignored it. There's no way to know which is view is correct, other than the numbers kind of suggest ignorance.

Now, you're probably going to point out that Richie wasn't flying under his own flag, so as you say RSO was a new project (I only agree under the direct term). So let's run with the Beyonce comparison.

If Beyonce announced a project with Orianthi called BO and messed around with the album for two years. That's plenty of time for anyone who wanted to know about the project to find out about it. BO then drops their songs on Spotify, you think Beyonce's BO project would go largely ignored?

RSO was never going to be a mainstream sensation, so I contend those who were meant to know about it (Bon Jovi fans, Orianthi fans, Richie fans) had plenty of time to learn of this project. Perhaps too much time and that was the problem.

At the same time, what do people expect? Bon Jovi's numbers are hardly stellar in terms of album sales or Spotify listens these days. How much more did people think RSO could realistically do? Surely, the project more or less reached its ceiling either way?

How many Spotify listens was it, 3,000? I don't find that number crazy considering this is a project from that guitarist from Bon Jovi and that guitarist from (insert band).

Richie isn't in the same way that Beyonce is. Not even close. Most people are unaware of his solo albums. The casual Bon Jovi listener only knows Jon. The majority of people know who Beyonce is. The majority of people do not know who Richie Sambora is. Bon Jovi has sold millions of records "Richie Sambora" hasn't, so to speak...

It's really not. Bon Jovi are a massive machine. RSO are not. of course not every Bon Jovi fan is going to know about RSO. It people that are Richie Sambora fans do not even know about RSO (and I know that there are some), then its' safe to say that a lot of Bon Jovi fans don't? and if Richie Sambora fans have not heard about RSO - then the project has definitely not got anywheere close to "reaching the ceiling"...

Beyonce doing an album with Orianthi is just as pointless a comparison. Beyonce has the star power alone to pull that off. Neither Ori or Richie do.

Ok, I've really covered all of your other points in my previous points, so I'm not going to rehash. It's ok to disagree, and we most definitely do.

Has anyone noticed, since social media seems to be the best source now for clues that Michael Bradford has removed Richie from his tag lines. He was showing pics as if working on music - he removed RSO when it ended but Richie as a solo artist was just recently deleted.
He now is working/touring with Dave Stewart.

My laptop died - finally replaced it, my phone and table view JT as a "malicious" web site and won't let me on. Tons more ads so I've got to figure out how I had it set up before. Looks like I've missed a lot of conversations.

He has now the hashtags artist and producer. I assumed that this are the people he produced but I could be wrong. On his homepage Richie is still listed in live performances.
Even every picture with Richie is still up there.

I don't think that's a bad thing if he's been removed as co-producer, I'd rather Bob did the whole thing.
