Dan Reed just opened for a band I was working for, did a solo acoustic set and he was fantastic. Lovely guy as well.

I believe that they are putting together a Dan Reed Network documentary, which is probably what Richie was being interviewed for, as the band did indeed tour together in the late 80's (or early 90s?). In fact Jon and Dan were on the cover of Kerrang! Magazine together

Very cool. Reed performed solo? Did I read somewhere that he does both solo and DRN?

Yes he does solo albums, as well as stuff with the Dan Reed Network. His solo stuff is much more mellow acoustic based stuff, as opposed to Dan Reed Network's funk rock.

Since Alphavictim recently mentioned the Heather Locklear (Lee) Sambora connection, I thought some of you might find this interesting!

EDIT: Scratch the last sentence. On second glance, it may be just another a fan-run account. It's not verified; so I'm not sure.

Whoa, Tommy Lee drumming on Richie's record! That's a good thing. Reassuring to see Bob Rock [still] by the side as well. Richie really likes Tommy Lee pounding on his stuff [sorry about that].
