So Tommy is releasing this in 2019 but it says recorded in 1979. Very 70's sound. Too much production for my taste and today - BUT - the little snippet when you can hear that Richie Growl "We're holding on to nothing when nothing ain't enough" is fine. I could see him take this, change it up, remix and make it work. His clear vocals are the best part of this. 1979 we might would have loved it - but today I just want Richie back - the one that hooked me with Stranger and BJ harmony. No RSO BS driven by hormones and no harmony.
Thankful this is clarified where it came from, when the person first posted it on IG and said basically a "new" release I was afraid it was on his new album. Is a new release just recorded long ago. Whew..........Thanks for finding the full version!
