(I'm treating this as a separate post because I see no connection between Richie's music and the question of how mature he is or isn't, just because he married Heather Locklear.)
I don't want to put words in your mouth, so again, just to clarify: You obviously don't care for the music Richie did with RSO; yet solely on the basis of this recent
collaborative effort (about which I still say Richie showed little to no passion), you have now concluded: 1) that people are wrong when they assume Richie's a deep bluesy soul, based on three
solo projects, spanning 21 years (projects which he obviously
was passionate about), 2) that people also must be wrong if they thought he wrote Bon Jovi hits/music, and 3) Jon is probably responsible even for stuff that sounds mostly like Richie.
Here's my question: How are we supposed to even define what sounds like Richie, since it seems you have determined that his work over the last 6 years supersedes, or effectively obliterates, everything he did during the 30 years or so prior to that? I mean, if you aren't going by SITT, US, and AOTL, what is your criteria for determining what "sounds mostly like Richie" that you now think Jon should be credited for?
