Unless I'm completely misunderstanding why Beyonce was brought into this it's just...WORLDS apart. For one, Beyonce had a strong fan base built by previous success touring with hit singles, multiple hit albums released prior using conventional promotion. A more apt comparison would be Beyonce leaving Destiny's Child and then dropping an album online with little promo.
