There's no 'Jon and...' anymore. Jon doesn't have to share the spotlight, or the mic, or the banter. Nobody else is doing the interviews with him, or coming out on the catwalk and performing acoustic sets, or doing one-off acoustic shows with him. He's no longer just the primary songwriter in the band; he's the only songwriter in the band. Nobody's there to play Laurel to his Hardy, or to otherwise detract from the 'main event'. So, as much as it pissed me off when I first read it, I guess he's right. It really is all about him now.

"Looks like somebody got what he wanted." When Ilene first tweeted that I thought she referred to Shanks; and maybe she did. But I'm not altogether sure, now, that she wasn't referring to her former boss.
