The concerning thing here is at the beginning of this interview he seems to say "I don't know what it's gonna be yet..." in regards to his solo album. WTF.

He's not able to tour any new record so it's pointless . The guys ****ed

There you go with your nonsense again. He could quite comfortably tour clubs and theatres in the UK and Europe, and last time he toured he played some huge festvals, as well as a support slot on a big arena tour. US might be an issues, but Japan and Australia would also be doable. Artist on Richie's level can still make decent money touring without the US.

Touring isn't the issue here. Putting the album out seems to be.

There have been so many videos since the last time he was a mess showing he's of sound mind. He's messy in a band setting and not a great band leader but that doesn't mean he himself is currently a mess. He's far from what he used to be but a mess is a bit much.

I think the previous poster meant a mess with his career. That is not in doubt at the point, his career is a complete mess. Whether he is clean or not, I have doubts a tour is doable because he can't organize himself. Two months ago he was talking about releasing music in April, now he is saying he doesn't know.

Hopefully him not knowing what it is going to be yet is because he has agreed committments somewhere else, like with Bon Jovi.

Oh fair enough, yeah. If he's going on tour he's absolutely need management and a strong promo team behind him.

IF he goes on a big tour with BJ (which i truly hope..) he probably wants to wait and release it when the bj machine starts..because he will be able to side promo his album probably...
if that finally takes place i m sure jon will certain put conditions in the contract that will put an extra pressure to Richie to be consistent..

The other possible cause could be he talks with some record companies and wants some major label backing to try it..

He had every opportunity to put literally anything for every time there was a bigger pop in the band camp. Christ, Hall of Fame induction would have been a massively good time to be ready for. I just don't think he thinks like that.

A lot of talk about how he's on a song writing tear, and the album is in the can and has a name and he's writing and recording. I have no doubt the songs exist but it all starts from scratch every time an opportunity comes along where the press is focused on him. if he had any team behind him, they'd be tapping him on the shoulder to get a single song out.
