I loved this song off of Richie's solo album. Even if it was written before he left Bon Jovi and he's been gone longer than 7 years the title still gets me! The album should have done better it was good.

That was always my favorite from the "regular" album. It's a shame that Forgiveness Street hasn't been officially released to this day!

He still has a voice, but his performance... this guy can no longer concentrate to do something really solid. Too spread out.

However, when I listens to the snipets of his new songs, everything is fine. So strange.

It's a different problem than Jon in terms of performance, but at the end of the day, you come to the same conclusion. The studio recordings are the only thing they can give us to enjoy a bit of his talent.

Apart from the voice box issue, which I'm not sure if that was his fault or not, I felt that this performace was pretty strong especially when compared to recent performances. He is certainly looking well.

What is strange is that Richie's guitar playing has gone from sounding like Clapton to Keith Richards. ie. precise to somewhat sloppy. I know some guitarists loose the felxibilty and movement in their finger joints as they get older. Maybe Richie is suffering from that?

Vocally he was pretty strong but he defintely has issues concertrating on both singing and playing at the same time.. I almost feel like he should concerntrate on the singing in a live setting and have another guitar player take over the heavy weight from the guitar playing.

Constantly trying to be a huge jam session is not a great idea either, with the rest of the band never knowing what he's going to do next. But on the whole I see this performance as a positive step.

Not that strange to me. Studio gives you unlimited takes, a pre-recorded backing track that plays the same thing every time. Live he's trying to do too much, waving his arms, getting people to play quiet or loud or stop entirely. He needs a strong musical director to deal with all that, Luke was great with that stuff.

I know. I just wish that version of With A Little Help From My Friends was 6 minutes long and not 9. More focus, less improvisation.
