Twitter is like a grotesque-making funhouse mirror; nobody looks good on Twitter. Richie seems like a weird guy at the best of times during his interviews, and he doesn't come across any better on Twitter. He may be using drugs again/still - we can't know - but I wouldn't infer anything based on his recent tweets.

You can add me to that list. This forum is the only social media I do.

Richie was on Sunday Brunch this morning:

Don't have a link to the interview yet.

Never heard him tell this "version" of how he got into Bon Jovi. Didn't know that he knew Dorothea before Jon and she was telling him who was stealing money in the club. How he tells this story sounds a bit strange.

If you are in the UK you can watch the whole show here:

Richie was basically on the show throughout trying all the food and chatting to the hosts. I did think it was interesting that he was absent from the table when there was alcohol being served, but maybe I'm looking into that too much.

He seemed to be enjoying the show and the story about how he met Jon in particular was definitely info that I'd never heard before. He does seem to take a while to get to the point of his story a couple of times.

He definitely seems like he wants people to realise that he's a singer, which does make me think he's still working towards the solo album, but why oh why does he not have a song out now and ready to tie in to all the prime time promotion he is getting!!

Interesting/unusual interview on Sunday Brunch. I’d say any ‘hope’ of him returning to the band can be laid to rest now.

Constant reminders that he’s always been a singer, almost blatant reminder that his vocals made the band what it was. I couldn’t quite understand what he was trying to say about Slippery When Wet but sounded as though he told Jon that after 7800 he needed to focus on being a band rather than a solo artist and that’s what turned them into a success. Did he even say that before getting signed Jon’s bands were naff!?

If he wants to talk about himself rather than Bon Jovi he probably needs to crack on with releasing his album.

He's being quoted in the Manchester Evening News as saying "My hiatus from Bon Jovi and the Covid impact on my solo touring...."

He's been gone 10 years. Incredibly strange to phrase it as a hiatus.

I'm tentatively (and probably foolishly lol) hoping that there will be an announcement within the next few days and then a single release on Friday perhaps. I wouldn't be able to wrap my mind around it, if he actually ended up letting this opportunity pass him by.
