Vince, Axl, Paul all sound terrible but they are also from a generation where you would give your all vocally. Not many singers today could even hold a flame against these guys in their prime. They are paying for it now but the respect is still there.

Gosh, that's difficult to listen to. He's very cringe. Leona tried HARD to keep him on track.

Didn't find it hard to listen to at all, I thought it was a good interview and Richie seemed pretty relaxed. Sure, he exaggerated at times, but that's nothing new.

Love the stuff she says at the end as well about her son, just shows what a great guy Richie is.

It is not exaggeration it is a lie. I am not sure why he does it when he knows the facts are verifiable. It is hard for me to understand how one can feel pride in something they didn't do or haven't done.

It is beyond the time for Richie to stop the talking and start the doing.

Jon has been just as guilty of the same thing, I remember he used to say in interviews that they had done X amount of albums, but the number included solo albums (both his and Richie's) and compilations etc.

They all do it - just ask Gene Simmons, Nikki Sixx and Joe Elliott. It's not a big deal. It's part of the PR Bullshit machine. No one except the superfans here will know that it's not true. No one is going to fact check this stuff. No one outside of these kind of fan groups cares enough...

This guy has let so many opportunities slip by I'm honestly questioning whether we'll ever get an official solo album release from him again.
If he doesn't want to be involved with that whole "machine" anymore, fair to him. But then either let it go or if you brag about it, back it up with something...someday...

Whataboutism. I will happily discuss Jon's flaws in the relevent thread, and for the other people you named too. Exaggerations are par for the course, sure. Richie is just lying. Others may do it, but then we are not talking about them, we are talking about Richie.

He has not had 5 solo albums, simple.

Anyway, I am still shocked he did the singing show and the interviews without having music ready to go, or at least a major confirmed announcement on Bon Jovi. If the album is done and the single ready, why miss that opportunity?

More eyes and ears were on Richie than have been in 10 years and all he did was tried to set the record straight with a warped reality.

I guess Richie is also counting the records he made with his ex-partners... Orianthi and Nikki Lund. It's sad that even Nikki has released more music than Richie in the last 5 years.
