An average Bon Jovi show in America has about 15.000-20.000 people, while an average Bon Jovi show in Europe has about 35.000-50.000.

Well that clearly was a much needed personal attack from you, very well done, you're starting to show your true colors here a bit I think. But it's good to see how people still consider seeing me of such a worthy moment to be posting about it.

But in regards to the content of your post; yes it did suck I'd bought tickets, and I'd regret it a few weeks before the show took place already. I've been quite vocal about that to my friends, so as for your "clever" dig, it's not really working now is it. And as for not clapping and singing along, where do you think these bootlegs come from? Or do you reckon everyone would be really pleased if I'd be singing in the mikes all the time? But yeah, when I consider a show dreadful I'm not one to go nuts on shit performances, I'm not an idiot.

Still bitter and personally offended about me saying it was a shit show when you had the time of your life? Take it to the topic where the discussion is held, but don't start spouting of random personal shit in other topics. There's a reason why I start seperate topics for my reviews, but for some people this seems to be something that's too hard to comprehend. It's remarkable how those people are the same people who start throwing shit at me for simply disagreeing with my opinion.

Salaam Aleikum,

Oh, dry your eyes boohoo! Did my common sense touch a nerve? Aww..

And I am not phased in the slightest, I was merely highlighting the irony of that quote from your original post (and you agreed with me, it does ''suck'' - so what's the problem?) then I commented on the topic

I understand your point. I think if America had only a few shows, you would get better crowds. Even if the shows were on the East Coast, I would have to find a way to attend. With the last tour having over 70 American shows, I did not and could not attend them all. And that is why I think there could be a watered down effect. But I may be wrong.

The poor Richie sales are proving your point and showing my point may be incorrect. There are few American Richie shows and still the sales are poor.

There are apparently people on backstage telling others not to go to the richie shows and save money for the upcoming bon jovi tour because a real fan would spend money on the full band.

It's not bad if I laughed immensely after reading this, is it?

I'm not offended that Richie thinks the European reaction is better. It obviously is based on what I've heard all these years. It is what it is. I really wanted to travel to his NYC show, but the fact that it is a weeknight just made it too difficult for me.

Having seen 3 shows in America and 2 in Europe, I can say that the American crowds, at least from my point of view, were pretty shitty. A good chunk of people just stood there like zombies (and some didn't stand at all) and didn't make a sound until Prayer, Bad Name, or Wanted started. I can't say I had a good vantage point of the 2 European shows because I was in the front of the Diamond Circle for both but the crowd was 10 times louder than any American show, even though the RDS Arena in Dublin was triple the size of the US shows. I felt like I could see it in the band's faces in Dublin that they were just having so much more fun (as was I) than in the States, and I really don't blame Jon or Richie for having that opinion. I'm not offended because I know I'm not one of the zombies standing there looking pissed off that I only recognize 2 or 3 songs or trying to take a picture of Jon's ass.

He even said it during one of the Amsterdam shows. I've been to 2 shows in the USA on the Have A Nice Day tour. I have to agree though - European crowds are better and not that talkalative.

On the contrary, crowds in Belgium and Dusseldorf were less than crowds say in Calgary or Vancouver. But Barcelona was the best crowd I've ever seen from a Bon Jovi show. It really depends where you are I suppose.

Take the Madison Square Garden show they released on DVD and Blu-ray. Everytime you see the crowd you see an uninterested bunch of people drinking and chatting. Then when Jon and Richie are on the 'catwalk' you see people worrying more about getting on the picture with them or taking a picture of them instead of trying to be in the moment. It makes me wonder what the reason is those persons came to the show in the first place. I doubt it are the right reasons.
Anyhow, I really liked the crowds behaviour in Amsterdam and maybe Richie is doing only this amount of shows to keep it more exclusive? An evening with Richie Sambora like Bryan Adam's Bare Bones Tour, only way cheaper.

I salute you,
TS
