Crash Diet is just "another brick in the wall".Whenever he listenes to a Jovi song he says it suck just because it's Bon Jovi.
He doesn't even listen carefully to it.To say THE BEATLES have better guitar riffs is stupid. You should just listen to NEW JERSEY,or the first 2 albums...than we can talk about riffs but you won't listen to them. And I asked a lot of people what version of HERE COMES THE SUN they like more and everybody said BON JOVI's ,even my mother who is a huge Beatles fan.
I think ALICE COOPER was absolutely right. He worked with so may guitarists including SLASH but he would choose Richie Sambora.

I don't know why you try it Crash Diet???Richie is one of the best around,I don't say he is the best but he definetly kicks SLASH's or DAVID "I can't play guitar" GILMOUR's ass.

P.S.:Helter Skelter?????Any Jovi song has better riffs than this one...any(beside Joey maybe....)

And CRASH,name a guitar player who is better than Richie, accustic.
You won't find anyone.

P.S.AVID GILMOUR can't play guitar and what ALICE COOPER says has more weight than what another "I CAN'T PLAY GUITAR" like MUSTAINE says. You jmust be very desperate to come up with DAVE MUSTAINE quotes. It's uselss ,Richie is a btter guitarist than the guys who play guitar (can't call them guitarists)in bands you love like: PINK FLOYD and MEGADETH!!!

i have never heard a good guitar riffs from Richie Sambora, you'll say that the early albums had plenty of great riffs but i believe it was the usual eighties crap. i am not saying that the Bon Jovi songs are not great or the lyrics are not extremely well written. about george harrison.. you have to listen to the opening chords of lucy in the sky with diamonds or to the solo from the end or to sergent pepper's lonely hearts club band or to helter skelter .. .. he did some stuff in the sixties that i find amazing today in 2003. .. most of his stuff stood the test of time (well helter skelter maybe didn't because it sounds ancient but the main riff is still great and the melody of the song is awesome)
about me quoting dave mustaine: i don't really listen to megadeth and frankly speaking i have heard only two of their songs one of them being an alice copper cover after no more mister nice guy and the other song was so and so: but i do know that megadeth is very well apreciated by metal fans and knowing that people on this messageboard are into hard rock and metal i quoted him.
about richie on acoustic guitar: just because he plays a lot of songs on acoustic guitar during live shows it doesn't mean he is the best acoustic guitar player. i have listened to some acoustic stuff by eddie van halen (including an acoustic version of eruption) and it really made me wonder..
i don't know why you bash david gilmour maybe it's because he has better solos than your fav guitarist or maybe because he isn't a sex symbol like jon bon jovi is or maybe because he is from a band who chose to avoid cliches and didn't follow mainstream shit.
and by the way i saw live in london and the second solo in always you were always talking and is nothing special.

As a guitarist, my first influence has always been Sambora, but that is not to say Slash is not great. My problem is that Slash is, and always has been, sloppy live. He can't "jam" like Sambora can. And to say Sambora has no great rock or metal riffs, well, that is purely an opinion. Besides, Bon Jovi is not metal, they are a great rock and roll band. To me, metal is Iced Earth, Helloween, Slayer, etc....

I liked the 5 best and worst list, though I disagree with the Kirk Hammett part. In the 80's, his solos were just speed and notes, but the solos on Load, like the one in Bleeding Me, is amazing, plain and simple.

Slash can't "jam" live and Richie Sambora Can ?

Richie Sambora plays live exactly in the same way that he plays on the studio version. Slash adds a lot more ...

Aloha !

My point is : Slash is not a technical guitarist, otherwise he would've pulled Eddie's solo
Well, another attack from Yomamasofat the ninja turtle to Shredder :P But why are you so convinced about the fact if Slash can't play the solo from Beat It ? I mean, Slash plays the same sort of fast riffs during the end of Paradise City, so why wouldn't he be able to play the solo from Beat It ?

Quote:
point we"re missing is BLUES..i think noone can beat slash in blues he rocks...........slash is the best....his tunes r immortal...
Richie Sambora and Clapton have got a lot more blues then Slash. Not to attack you, but I think you'll always defend Slash, no matter what we say about him.

Well, maybe CRASH can't name one, but I can: Eric Clapton. Enough said.

Slash and Richie can both Jam very well. Guns 'N' Roses used to jam a lot more as Bon Jovi. Listen to the live versions from Knockin' On Heavens Door or Paradise City. They jam a lot on the end. Just like the studio version from Paradise City is one big jam at the end, the live version is also one big jam.
Bon Jovi never jams. They sometimes play different things at the end of songs, but Richie mostly plays the same solo's over and over again. But because most of the people here do only know the live versions from Bon Jovi they say Richie is better live...Richie is great, but Slash is great too.

That's what I mean. Though Richie doesn't exactly plays the same live as the studio versions.
