It's quite overdone by Richie though. I don't know but it lacks feeling. If I want to listen to guitar solos without feeling I'd rather listen to somebody like Buckethead.

That's what I thought too. And as soon as BB King tells him to do it again he starts doing the same solo again, as if he doesn't know anything else. It's mostly just showing off instead of showing feeling.

I thought the same thing too. It's still quite good but it's lacking something. It's just the same solo through the whole song.

I prefer 'The Thrill Is Gone' out of the two. I like the call and response bit at the end although it loses a bit of energy. Not my favourite version of the song; BB and Clapton absolutely nailed it a good few years back.
