Stranger has to be his masterpiece. from rockin "rosie" to acoustically perfect "the answer", but as part of the BON JOVI team i agree with these days, it shows the wide range of his talents as a guitarist and a vocalist

Definately KTF. I think KTF brought out the best of the whole band. The lyrics, the vocals, the guitar, bass and drumming are all spot on in my opinion.

the stranger in this town album is what finally inspired me to pick up a guitar.

I think KTF is just a strange album. it's like 2 completley different albums. it splits and goes off in a different direction after dry county. everything upto and including dry county is wicked. the bonus track (save a prayer) is one of my all time favourite bj songs.

these days.

there's greay guitar work on every track

it's so diverse i mean you've got something for the pain, lie to me, hearts breaking even, something to believe in, it's hard letting you go, all i want is everything.... all of them could be mistaken for having different guitarists on each track.

all of his tones are great too. he's gone a bit too generic sounding tone and gear wise from crush onwards but on these days every song has a completely different tone and they all sound great.

The piano, however, apparently sucked.

Stranger in This Town, hands down. We all know how I feel about Richie (and if not I'd be happy to remind you) but I listen to Stranger all the damn time.

I don't remember too many spectacular solo's on These Days apart from Damned which is amazing. I never liked the solo in My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms, it's too screechy. I know it's not all about solo's but it's just an observation. I think Slippery was a great guitar record, particularly Let It Rock and Wanted. Keep The Faith for obvious reasons (DC, KTF and BOR) I also think the first album has some cool riffs and solo's. I'd have to go for Stranger In This Town though as his best work especially if you include the bonus Wind Cries Mary which was just incredible.

These Days, Jersey, Slippery, Bounce, Have A Nice Day and his solo records are his best guitar work.
