Richie's Dad - what's happened??

Been reading alot of threads over on the other board about Richie's dad. From the sounds of it he's fighting cancer - it that correct??

Just wonder if anyone could help as I'm concerned that something else has happened - if you get what I mean.

All we know is that Richie's dad has Stage 4 lung cancer. Stage 4 is the last stage so that's not a good thing. Jon mentioned his diagnosis in an interview he did on LH last week. Richie's dad, Adam, was diagnosed with lung cancer the day of the Hull show. So, he's been battling it since last June.

On CMT a woman was supposed to interview the band after the show but she said they left immediately after their performance due to a family emergency.

Maybe that's why the Hull show performance wasn't so good?

How would any fan know this though? Surely this sort of information would be something only family and close friends would know.
If it's true, it's strange how it 'seemed' to effect Jon more than Richie!

Aww I really hope his Dad gets through this! Poor Richie

Maybe it was just what we saw because Jon is upfront alot more than Richie. And also Maybe Richie hides his feelings a lot better than Jon.

This is all a big IF.

And different people show their feelings in different ways. Some people get pissed off (angry) and some people get very withdrawn - it depends on the person.

Maybe Jon was so angry at Hull, coz the promoters made them play when they didnt want to after hearing the bad news?
