It is indeed a custom built job for richie by lumpy. he's got black ones, white ones and hardtail version aswell as the floating bridge. hence "sambo" on the headstock. The prototype that he picked up was FR's first with the speedloader and it's the white strat shaped one he's been using for the past few years.

don't know what was happening with Richie's set up on the hall of fame thing but you could hardly hear the guitar when he was using the talkbox.

think it was just the way they set it up previous to th show, dont think that it was down the the rig, i would of loved to hear the solo properly though

Same. The last few notes of the IML solo he re-did were a nice fresh change from the norm we're used to.

i hope they bring that guitar out in mass production aswell jst like the kramers and strats, but i cant see it happening, als i would spend £1000+ for a guitar with 1 pickup

it'll never be a production model. i dont think we'll ever see any mass produced richie signature guitars again.

the pickups cost are minimal to a guitar so talking about the price in terms of pickups in the guitar is pretty irrelevant.

yeh but im just sayin if they did opt to bring one out i wouldnt buy a guitar with 1 pickup

thats the problem really theres so many of variations of that guitar he plays with the different set ups it would be hard to pick just one

yeah that's the thing with these famous guitarists, they can pick and choose from there very expensive collection and just use it for one song.
