Of course it's good of him for trying to get better

(next to that, I just said he was doing coke, but he is doing something clearly, whatever he is doing, coke or alcohol what's the difference? not much; NO I don't feel sorry for him - as far as his alcohol/drug thingy concerned)
Alot of people have wound up alot worse for alot less.

I don't think Bobby will replace Richie, but I do think that Bobby will fill in for Richie on a few gigs.

Yes and I dont pity them either. Everybody knows what alcohol & drugs can do with you. I still take my portion of both, its great, enjoying it for lot of years now. Never ended up needed to go to rehab and I had a very bad year not so long ago... (wich was a time when I was completely sober cause I felt I needed to be)

There is no excuses, if its true, its his own fault

I never said it's not his fault. But different people have different tendencies. Just because one person does it and doesn't get hooked doesn't mean the next person can do the same. I purposely stay away from the stuff because I know addiction runs in my family. Not to say I don't drink once in a while, but I know if I get too much into it I'm looking for trouble. I just know with the stuff I've been through, I could have easily got myself really messed up, so I'm not gonna judge him.

Wow, I am just surprised, but glad that he realized that he needed help before things got to bad.

I don't think this is true at all Mireille. I think once Richie gets well (and I strongly believe he will) the band will continue on as they always have been.

I'm so glad to hear Richie has entered Rehab as it's been obvious there has been a problem for some time now. I wish him all the best and hope to see a healthy Richie up on that stage for many more years.

thank you sandi to tell me that this is what I am hoping too but I was talking with a friend who is seing such a dark future for him that she managed (without wanting it of course) to drag me down - and it is usually rather easy thing to do with me ....

I am happy Richie realised that he was needing help and I am sure he will get out of this strong and well ...but I also realised all of sudden that Bon Jovi without Richie is NOT Bon Jovi ..no way that anyone could replace him for me

I agree with TheseDays'05. This is Richie's fault. He's fully grown and should know better, especially after experimenting throughout his early years. No one is mentioning that David Bryan, who has gone through very similar shit the past year, has seemingly handled it a lot better. Thus I have trouble feeling sorry for Mr. Sambora.

This Unplugged gig sounds like it was one of the band's all time low points. You realize what probably happened was Jon chewed Richie out after the fiasco, telling him he had to go get help or was out of a job. No one should underestimate the gravity of this situation. Folks; as of right now the band is in jeapordy.

No way would Richie be replaced. The only way he's out of Bon Jovi is if he decides to quit and I do NOT see that ever happening.
