i reckon its a real twitter account, you can tell hoaxes, who would bother being that specific and genuine. lots of followers too. i dont know if that counts for much, but ya know.

As posted when we had the Obie fake Twitter, no one from Bon Jovi is a verified Twitter user. And there's sites that verify a celebrity is who they say they are. If it was Richie, someone would have verified it unless he's just started using it, so I wouldn't be getting worked up.

There's a pretty recent interview on the showtime site where Richie says he doesn't tweet but plans to. Smells fake to me.

Hello

Im pleased this has been bought up. I have been following a few celebs on Twitter and I am also following Richie.

I have had reservations about if it is him or not. (he is using the same avatar as me! which i found abit weird) Plus he only had about 2000 followers when i joined. But the last few days he has been posting some pretty specific stuff. And find it hard to believe it is a Hoax.

I thought if it was fake who ever was doing it would be caught out due to him pretending to be in Japan and then we know they will be doing the X-Factor this weekend i didnt think it would all tally up. But the latest Tweet was he was on his way to London and that he now had sleep time, assuming he is sleeping on the Plane to then record the XFactor mentor stuff when they land on friday.

Below is all the tweets i have had in the past few days. before that i had nothing for 6 weeks and he was on about where Monkton was. See if you think if it is genuine or not.

Sorry - About the YOU CAN GO HOME bit i had no idea what its about. Be interesting to hear. I almost wondered if it was a solo project but he wouldnt have time with the new record and tour etc to promote it or even possibly record it.

Have no idea what its about.

I guess we will know soon.
