I felt exactly the same way when I first heard Ride Cowboy Ride. I thought what is this shit? This can't be right it's off some bootleg, or it's a demo version. I actually replaced the album version with the live version from Japan in 1988/89. It still remains my favourate version of the song for the interaction with the crowd and the joint vocal with Richie. It's a very intimate version and is the perfect opening for Wild is the Wind. Great song!

Here's the link btw:

I though I had a broken CD when I listened to Hook Me Up and it ended unexpectedly.. but this doesn't belong there.

I love this song. I take as an intro to Stick To Your Guns (and also to Wanted, they did it this way on the Jersey tour).
While I was translating it to my mother tongue, I realised that it is actually about Billy The Kid. Or could be Maybe I was/am too inflenced with Young Guns

So this is a song about having a dream and chasing it, till you find the Bright Lights." - Aldo Nova.

Ride cowboy ride, I dunno, its an okay song, I like the lyrics and guitaring and all I just can't get past the crackling and I really don't understand why they'ed do that to the song, I don't know maybe it was to make it sound a bit older. I don't dislike many bon jovi songs at all but this one is one of the ones I'd skip if it came up on random cos I don't know, not dissing it, just saying its not a fav, and if it didn't have the crackling I'd prob luv it. idk. Will listen to it some more and see if it grows on me:P

Love the track. Everything from the crackle, to the credit to Captain Kidd and The King Of Swing just screams so cool, no to mention an attitude of "**** the world we can do whatever we want on this album."

Agreed. And the live version with the added improv lyrics from Japan is one of my FAVORITE live songs EVER! Love the harmonies of JBJ and RS!

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3
