I must say that you've done a great job working this out. In my opinion in the 4th verse there should be :" me and wife we needed money" and also just before the solo there sould be " to the gulf of Mexico". But I may be wrong. English is also my second language. In some parts it still dosen;t make sense but buy generaly it seems to bo ok.
