Default Right Side of Wrong

Hi.
I bin looking around a little bit in the forum and it occurs to me that most of you don`t like "Right Side of Wrong". I can't really understand this, I think it's one of the greatest songs there have bin for ten years or so. It's some piece of great songwriting after all, I like the hymnic touch and I adore the lyrics. Billy Joel would have been proud of the Bon Jovis. Tell me what you think about it!

I'm with you in the minority that likes the song. I think it is a great piece of songwriting too. Jon did an excellent job telling the story of these guys. I find the characters somewhat amusing and I love that Jon wrote them out as realistic people. He doesn't make them out to be heroes. You clearly see that they're committing a crime because they've got a history of bad decisions and really aren't the brightest bulbs in the box. LOL They know they're doing the wrong thing, but they think they have good reasons. Yet, in the course of a few minutes you see that they're just continuing a cycle of bad decisions. You know if Dr. Phil got ahold of these guys he'd probably say:

"Hey, if you've got four hungry kids already, keep your pants zipped!"

"If those kids are hungry, then how can you afford beer, whiskey, cigarettes, and a trip to the strip joint?"

Jon could have made them out to be heroes, but instead he showed you their flaws. I love the way it's written!

I like it, but it's not one of my favorite songs on Bounce.

I think the lyrics are great, and I LOVE the storytelling of it. I just think that musically, it's a little boring. My opinion might change though after I've listened to it some more.

Well, Right side of the wrong is my favorite track on the album. I can imagine those guys driving a car on their way to commit a crime. It's written very realistic, in my opinion.
LOL, I think the dr. Phil-conclusion is very funny

I love this song- I love the Butch and Sundance references. To me it is very Tom Waits with some Billy Joel thrown in for good measure. It's got a great classic rock singer songwriter feel to it. I missed the stripjoint reference too- will have to listen again.
