I have to say I LOVE this song - one of my personal favourites from an amazing album.

interesting idea, this t&g thing, but bj ain't up to writing a Tom & Gina biography (are they?). And after all, Tommy and Gina wouldn't be as simple minded as Ricky and who-knows-what-his-name-is. But no matter what, both songs (loap and rsow) are great, I love them both. and, I don't know right now who said it, and I'm too lazy to find out right now, but I agree with him totally. I think we'll be seeing Tommy and Gina on one of the next few albums..them maybe the next few after that..then maybe they'll get last names..

Yeah - I like the sound of a Tommy & Gina connection.

But if it was about them, they certainly wouldn't be 'Holding on to what they've got'

Hehe,I think it would be the best if the narrator is Tommy and when jon said "me and the wife, we needed money", he refer the wife as Gina hehehe.
And well on loap, tommy and gina managed to live on a prayer, and then on iml, they, once again, managed to not back down, but then i don 't know, maybe they got cocky, have 4 kids, and then maybe the union is was on strike again, and when Gina didn't manage to bring her pay for love, they had to find a way, although not so right, or downright bad, a robbery. So we are yet to find out their future(maybe, just my thoughts though).
One more thing, I don't really understand the story on rsof, I mean did the cops get them before even the robbery started or have they robbed the place and then got caught on their way back?

I think the cops get them while the narrator is inside the bank. And while a cop tells the narrator to "show his hands", the narrator see's Ricky getting shot in the car ".9 millimeter steel was comin for the windshield of our oldsmobile".

Don't worry, Tommy and Gina are fine. Tommy hires Johnny Cochrane to get him out of this mess so they can live on in future albums. I think it's time for a Tommy and Gina musical based on Bon Jovi songs- if Billy Joel can do it why not Bon Jovi? I actually always thought the Shery Crow song Home which is featured in the movie No Looking Back would be a great song sung from Gina's point of view.
