Bon jovi is just another rock band, there is nothing special with bon jovi or their music (besides the fact that they play good music), but nothing unique. but of course, i don't know what kind of qualification that a band need to get into rock and roll hall of fame, perhaps 25 years and 110 million sold albums??

How can one minute u go on about BJ changing their style over the years to make them sound different from all the other 80's bands u so love....
& then claim they r just another rock band & nothing unique??
They should get in because they have been a major live draw over the past 15 -20 years, have sold nearly 100 million albums, have had defining moments - such as being one of the most remembered Pop metal pioneers, the MTV acoustic things & the fact they will still be together after 25 years.

yes, i love the most rockband from the 80', and i really love the music bon jovi did back then, they had a lot of things that where unique, for instance, a great vocalist, a great guitarist and so on. but some how they lost all that. and the fact is, many of the GREAT songs they wrote during the 80' and early 90' was never released as singles or used to promote the band, which of course is a pity (I'm refering to songs like, Wild is the wind, Homebound train, Blame it on the love of rock and roll and so on)
if you compare bon jovi to Def leppard (who really deserves a spot in the hall of fame...) bon jovi don't stand a change. def leppard (according to me) introduced the music catygory Pop-Metal with "pyromania" and also had a very unique sound and still have (although they are very good at hiding it). you can't actually say that def leppard sounds like anything else then def leppard, bon jovi sounds or sounded like a mix of Bruce springsteen and Van halen...
but of course, bon jovi do deserve a place in the hall of fame... at least if you look at the sales, the tours and all the tv performance, which i don't...
