Question. Is this a Bon Jovi song or a cover?

Cover - I think it was Neil Young (is that his name?) who did the original.

If you want to get real technical... The song Rockin' The Free World was a cover for the One Wild Night Tour 2001... The song was on the album and it was a cover song which was originally by Neil Young and according to some of the responses, it has been one of the best cover songs for them...

BOUNCE,
Ryan

Yup, and IMO the best version of that song is when BJ played at Osaka-Japan,2000 (I have bonus cd-Osaka live from Crush). The sound's great !
Great riff !

Yeah, well in the Crush DVD interview, Richie says that they actually like to open some shows with it, so it must be a fave of the bands. It's a great song too!

It's a great song which also has been covered by Pearl Jam, and everybode should listen to the original version by Neil Young....

Keep on rockin'

I have quite a few of Neil Young's songs due to Bon Jovi covering Rockin' In The Free World. If you think the Bon Jovi version is great, then you should really download the Neil Young version. It is probably my favourate song, even after downloading around 20 of his best hits. He is probably a more acoustic suited artist as most of his songs are played with the acoustic, but Rockin' In The Free World because it is played on an electric and is quite heavy compared to his other songs.
