I know that there's always going to be people saying "no [insert band name] here" and that it's really all not only subjective and based on vested interests ...

But still ...

No Iron Maiden?!

Clearly you've never seen Bruce live.

Like RS lists or not, there's a reason he's #1 and Bon Jovi aren't even in the running.

This is more like list of live acts in the United States if it was a global list Robbie Williams as well as depeche mode would have made the final cut

I agree with the first part of the statement. That Bruce gig in Hyde Park last year, for f*ck's sake, that felt like a once in a lifetime thing. Yet with Bruce it's a normal show.

While that is very likely to be either the best or the second best gig I have ever seen, the other 4 concerts in my top 5 are by The Scorpions, Iron Maiden and Bon Jovi. Like RS or not, getting the top spot right is one thing. Not having those three bands in there (plus Rammstein
I would add) is just pure ignorance or bad-will.

If you're looking at stone cold huge bands then yeah but there's so many smaller, less known bands that bring so much more to a live environment.

Damien Rice manages to do more live with an acoustic guitar and some pedals than Jovi do with a full 20 truck touring set up.
Jay Z's pretty incredible as a live rap artist. Very few can pull of what they do in the studio live.

Aloha !

Any list Rolling Stone makes pretty much always leave those that follow music and actually have some knowledge about it in the first place baffled. I used to read the magazine every now and then but I feel it's a music magazine for those that don't listen to music themselves. There's not many great music magazines out there, but of the big ones Rolling Stone is one of the worst.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Gotta agree with Seb on this one.

So have I and did lots for me so guess that's just difference ofopinion but strictly performance wise, he's certainly a big step above most other hip-hop and rap artists in a live setting so if any of them deserve to be on the list it's him.
